Prof. LI Mingshu
is the Director and Research Professor in the Institute of Software at
the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received a PhD degree from the
Department of Computer Science, Harbin Institute of Technology in 1993;
also a Master degree (secondary one) in Economics from Department of
Social Sciences at the same university in 1995. He took his
post-doctoral research in Institute of Software at Chinese Academy of
Sciences between 1993-1995 and Department of Artificial Intelligence at
University of Edinburgh between 1995-1996, respectively.
He
was a member of the Advanced Computing Technologies Expert Group and
the Information Technology Steering Committee for the National Hi-Tech
Research and Development Program of China (863 Program) between
2001-2005. He is a standing member of China Computer Federation (CCF),
a standing member of the All-China Youth Federation, the Consultant of
the Ministry of Information Industry, and the Advisor of Beijing
Government.
He was the
Program Co-Chair, Software Process Workshop 2005 (SWP2005, 25-27 May
2005, Beijing, China); 27th International Conference on Technologies of
Object-Oriented Language and Systems (TOOLS Asia¡¯98, 22-25 September
1998, Beijing, China); 24th International Conference on Technologies of
Object-Oriented Language and Systems (TOOLS Asia¡¯97, 22-25 September
1997, Beijing, China); 2nd Asia-Pacific Web Conference (APWeb¡¯99, 27-30
September1999, Hong Kong); and 1st Asia-Pacific Web Conference
(APWeb¡¯98, 27-30 September 1998, Beijing, China). He was a Steering
Committee member, 2006 Software Process Workshop/Workshop on Software
Process Simulation and Modeling (SPW/ProSim 2006, 20-21 May 2006,
Shanghai, China), and 2007 International Conference on Software Process
(ICSP 2007, 19-20 May 2007, Minneapolis, USA),. He is a Steering
Committee member of 2008 International Conference on Software Process
(ICSP 2008, 11-12 May 2008, Leipzig, Germany) and a Program Committee
member of 30th International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE
2008, 10-18 May 2008, Leipzig, Germany).
He has served as the Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Software, the Associate Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Software and Informatics, and on the editorial board of Software Process: Improvement and Practice and Chinese Journal of Computer Research and Development.
His
current research interests include software process technology,
software engineering methodology, requirement engineering, software
engineering economics, and knowledge management. He has co-authored
three books and over one hundred research papers.
